Bio
Alex was born and raised in Alpine, CA; a small mountain town outside of San Diego. His passion for cars began at the young age of five playing on his Z71 Hotwheels and helping his dad with his 1st race car; a 1995 BMW M3 Lightweight. From cleaning the car, putting stickers on, looking over the car or helping him load up for the next race, Alex was always there to help. As he grew up, he enjoyed playing baseball and soccer and eventually karting at the local indoor facility. At the age of 15, he had his first track day at Laguna Seca and was immediately hooked. It was then that he knew he had to figure out a way to work in the industry or be a racecar driver. After successfully completing the licensing course and track time, he received his racing license in 2008 and completed his first race soon after in 2009. Beginning college at Arizona State University to study Automotive Mechanical Engineering Technology, he searched for a job in Motorsports. Cars were his passion, but the thrill of Motorsports was what drove him. After graduating and working at a race shop for 18 months, he moved to California to become a Performance Product Engineer and a Calibration Engineer for DINAN Engineering. Here, his passion further grew as he learned all of the tricks from his idol, Steve Dinan. If stock BMWs were cool, think about driving in a car that you, yourself, designed the suspension, exhaust, cold air intake and tuned the engine yourself. Alex wanted to do it all and couldn’t be happier to learn from the best. In 2017, after working at DINAN Engineering for 3.5 years, he started working for Fast Track Racing and Classic BMW as their Race Engineer and Strategist. We have taken the team and the drivers to greater heights than ever before. With numerous championships, too many wins to count and so many great times, the desire is still there to continually get better and win even more!
