About The Driver
Jacob’s love for motorsports began at an early age and has continued to grow throughout his life. He was born in Racine, WI, just 90 minutes from Road America. His father, Chris Ruud, raced in the early 2000’s, which allowed Jacob the opportunity to learn the ropes and gain exposure to various tracks around the world. Jacob started karting at the age of 13, and moved to touring cars at the age of 16. He drove a BMW M240ir in the Pirelli World Challenge for 3 years before transitioning to the BMW M2 CS in SRO’s TCX Class for the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Jacob was able to clinch back-to-back TCX Championships in 2021 and 2022.
Off the race track, Jacob is an avid golfer, tennis player, gym-goer, snowboarder, and mountain biker. He recently graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a BS and MS in Computing Security. Jacob looks forward to beginning his career in computing security and continuing to share his passion for racing with the world.
